Kharkams
Mr W.G. Louw, accompanied by Intern Ms L.Cloete, presented an outreach programme in Kharkams on 29 July 2024, at 11 o’clock. First, Mr Louw welcomed all role players involved and then explained the purpose of the session. Secondly, he spoke about, amongst others, the three parts of the provincial sphere of government (The Executive, The Legislature, The Judiciary).
He also explained the functions of the legislature, the legislative process and chapter 9 institutions as entailed in the constitution. The community benefited from the session and was quite interested in the topics that have been discussed. This led community members to provide their inputs and questions.

Radio Interview

A radio interview was had on the 30th of July 2024 at 15:00. Mr Louw has addressed matters pertaining to the Provincial legislature. One of the important questions was “how do we come to making laws?”. Mr Louw responded, that Section 43 of the Constitution provides information regarding how laws are made and who has the authority to make laws. Other matters focusing on the legislature and equality have also been discussed.
Nieuwoudtville

On the 31 st of July 2024, Mr W.G Louw accompanied by intern Ms L.Cloete, presented an outreach programme in Nieuwoudtville. During the session the three arms of government, functions of the legislature, etc have been explained.
